Woman’s Club of Evanston Wedding :: Greg & Jill

Ever since I met Jill & Greg (almost two years ago) I have been looking forward to their wedding…and I’m not just saying that. When we were talking about their wedding I asked something like “SO, what is your wedding going to be like? Do you have any fun touches that you’re planning for the decor?” Well…that was the right question to ask this bride. She mentioned making 1000 paper cranes and bringing in a sushi chef for cocktail hour and I was hooked!  Jill is so creative, and brought that into their wedding day in many ways.
Jill…you’re absolutely gorgeous! Each of the bouquets was hand made by Jill, using brooches she found/bought/salvaged. One thing I really loved about this was that she made a point of finding a piece that was specific to each bridesmaid…one was a teacher so there was an apple brooch on her bouquet, another a talented musician so there was a music note on that one. So thoughtful. The one below was the bridal bouquet…gorgeous, right?
Greg’s unique boutonniere was designed by the lovely and talented Joanne of Flowers Flowers in Evanston.
This one was an instant favorite.I love this shot of Greg & his mom…she got a little teary when she saw Greg for the first time. All of the details that Jill worked hard to prepare for the wedding were entrusted to the coordinator Simply Perfect by Melissa and everything was just that, simply perfect.People, lets be honest here…if you want an amazing dance party without all the cheese…hiring Toast & Jam to DJ is a must. They are awesome, every time!Jill & Greg…once again, it was such a pleasure to work with you! Congratulations…and have so much fun on the honeymoon : )

Alice Millar & Wildfire Wedding: Jon + Lindsay

Just a couple of reasons why I loved working with Jon & Lindsay:
They were willing to climb into the back of a semi-trailer during their engagement session (and offered to buy me a beer at the end of the shoot)
Lindsay complimented me on my necklace during our first meeting (instant endearment)
Their families were fun, welcoming and danced the night away at their reception!
Lindsay was a *glamorous* bride – I loved how she brought the style on her wedding day.I WISH I could wear heels like this – gorgeous! This veil was amazing on Lindsay, added just the right amount of flare! This is one of my favorites, theres just something about it.Our groom Jon – lookin’ handsome for the camera! The wedding ceremony was held at the beautiful Alice Millar Chapel on the Northwestern campus in Evanston

These two know how to work it for the camera…thats why there are a lot of couple shots in this post – I couldn’t pick!I just love these!  And this! So cute, right?
Also – Lindsay’s beautiful bouquet was done by Flowers Flowers in Evanston – I met the owner, Joanne and she is lovely!I asked Jon and Lindsay for just  couple of shots here…its just in a parking lot in front of the bus but the light was so sparkley and golden, I couldn’t resist. These next three are kind of a sequence – I thought about only putting one in but then you’d just be missing something…
Gorge. The reception was held downtown at Widlfire – if you live in Chicago GO to this restaurant! The food was amazing, some of the best I’ve ever had I think.
I love this city shot too – the Sears Tower in the background just makes it so classic Chicago.Locked up!I always truly enjoy the toasts at my weddings, its fun getting to know the couple a little bit better…and I definitely learned some new things about these two!
And…if you’re looking for a little reception entertainment theres a quartet of women in Jon’s family who are pretty talented, let me tell ya!Love.Congratulations Jon & Lindsay, thanks to you and your family for making us feel like we were truly a part of the celebration – it was wonderful!
